The VASYLI + Armstrong II sensitive feet orthotic is suitable for patients who suffer from plantar sensitivity—loss of plantar fat pad, arthritis, and blistering, as well as peripheral neuropathy. It’s clinically and scientifically validated to reduce shear forces and the incidence of plantar ulcerations compared to standard diabetic insoles.
The VASYLI Custom Extended Slimfit is specifically designed to fit ladies’ fashion shoes, such as high heels. The flexible base allows easy contouring of the shank of the shoe. The rearfoot angle is reduced to 2 degrees due to the “high-heel factor” (tibio talar axis), which inverts the foot as the heel is raised.
WHAT ARE THE ORTHOTICS MADE OF? VASYLI Medical orthotics are made primarily of ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), a microcellular foam used extensively in the midsole of most quality sports footwear. The EVA has polymer additions to stabilize the material during the heat-molding process and to extend the life of the product.
VASYLI orthotics are designed to place under foot, the contours similar to a footprint. In doing so, it improves alignment and dispersion of peak pressures, common with lower limb biomechanical complaints. In combination with the practitioner's regular treatment regimen, orthotics may help alleviate complaints due to: Plantar fasciitis.
The VASYLI + McPoil orthotic is based on a dual-density construction designed to allow for normal foot pronation but to prevent over pronation.
