    • 地球磁場的方向和磁力大小突然發生不規則變化的現象。為太陽表面活動異常活躍時，大量拋射的帶電粒子經過地球附近所引起。特徵為突然爆發，在一小時內全球磁場發生顯著的改變，羅盤指針搖擺，電訊受到干擾。隨後逐漸恢復正常，歷時可能數日。太陽黑子較多的年分，磁暴現象較多。
