Queen of Tears ( Korean : 눈물의 여왕) is a 2024 South Korean television series written by Park Ji-eun, co-directed by Jang Young-woo [ ko] and Kim Hee-won, and starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won.
One day, while paragliding in Seoul, she is blown off course by a tornado and crash-lands in the North Korean portion of the DMZ. Ri Jeong-hyeok ( Hyun Bin ), a member of the North Korean elite and a captain in the Korean People's Army is patrolling and discovers Se-ri.

The film was theatrically re-released in the United States by NEON for its 20th anniversary on 16 August 2023, remastered in 4K, featuring bonus commentary by Park Chan-wook.
Critical response
Oldboy received critical acclaim, and is considered an influential cult classic. Bollywood controversy
Zinda, the Bollywood film directed by writer-director Sanjay Gupta, also bears a striking resemblance to Oldboy but is not an officially sanctioned remake.
