Kevin Haroldo Cordón Buezo (born November 28, 1986) [1] is a Guatemalan badminton player. He won two men's singles title at the Pan American Games, four title at the Pan Am Championships (3 in singles and 1 in doubles), and six title at the Central American and Caribbean Games (4 in singles and 2 in doubles).

Guatemala made their Olympic badminton debut in 1996. The nation made history when national player Kevin Cordón reached the semifinals of the 2020 Summer Olympics and finished in 4th place after his defeat to Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

Early years
Gordon was raised in West Monroe, Louisiana, where he was exposed to blues, honky tonk and rockabilly. He started playing guitar and writing songs at age 17 or 18, and played in a punk band while in high school that performed Ramones and Sex Pistolscovers. While Gordon was attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe, poet Jorie Graham encouraged Gordon to apply to the University of Iowa Writers Workshop, where he earned a master's degree in poetry. Keith Richards, Levon Helm, Scotty Moore, and D.J. Fontana recorded "Deuce And A Quarter" (written by Gordon and Owen) for the 1997 album All the King's Men. Gordon's duet with Lucinda Williams on the song "Down to the Well" (co-written with Colin Linden) was featured on the 2001 Oxford AmericanSouthern Music Sampler in their annual Southern music issue. In 2009, HBO licensed Gordon's song "Watching The Sun Go Down" for the television series True Blood.

Maldonado Rodolfo José Ramírez García (born 31 July 1988) is a Guatemalan badminton player and coach. [1] [2] Rodolfo Ramirez won the Men's Doubles event at the Pan American Badminton Championships in 2009 with partner Kevin Cordón. They together also won a gold medal at the 2010 CACSO Games .
He eventually lost that final to first seeded Kevin Cordón of Guatemala with 13–21, 19–21. Guerrero competed in 2014 and 2015 BWF World Championships. He is a member of the Cuban national badminton team since 2005. He twice won the continental .
