Nguyen Kim Son was born in November 18, 1966, at Tan Trao commune, Kien Thuy district, Hai Phong city. He got a bachelor degree in Literature majoring in Han-Nom (Sino-Nom), Associate Professor, Doctor of Literature and is the Minister of Education and Training.
During his career, he received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training; and Certificate of Merit from Vietnam National University.
