臺灣正體. 職業網球聯合會 （英語： Association of Tennis Professionals ， 縮寫 ： ATP ）由 唐納德·戴爾 （英語：Donald Dell） 、 鮑勃·布瑞尼爾 （英語：Bob Briner） 、 傑克·克雷默 、 克利夫·德賴斯代爾 等人於1972年9月成立，旨在保護男子職業 網球 選手的利益。 克里夫·佐斯德爾成為首任主席。 自1990年開始，該協會組織了以協會名為賽事名的全球網球巡迴賽事。 1990年的時候，這項全球巡迴賽事被命名為「ATP巡迴賽」，但在2001年這項賽事被改名為「ATP」。 到2009年，這項賽事又被改名為「ATP世界巡迴賽」。

ATP排名. 臺灣正體. 職業網球聯合會 每週會公佈兩個排名，一個是每週滾動的積分排名，被稱之為「阿聯航空 ATP排名 」（俗稱「 世界排名 」）；而另一個則是本賽季迄今為止累積積分排名，被稱之為「阿聯ATP倫敦之路排名」（俗稱「ATP冠軍積分」）。 [1] [2] ATP排名於1973年推出 [3] ，是用來確定各項網球賽事中單打與雙打選手的入選資格及種子選手資格。 阿聯ATP排名的統計週期為52周，但不包括 ATP世界巡迴賽總決賽 ，同時這些積分將在賽季末的最後一項賽事結束後全部作廢。 而那個在賽季結束後累積積分最高的排名選手即為當年的「世界第一」。
