桃園市國中國小藝才班招生只剩個位數，尤其音樂班最嚴重，研判可能是因為投資成本比較高，再加上未來就業出入，部分國中增設資優班等等，提供家長更多選擇，導致報到人數直直下降，音樂班面臨廢班的風險，為了改善現況，校方擴大招生，教育局也積極提供幫助。
