1．はじめに. 脳腫瘍の摘出手術においては、全摘出が最もよい結果の基本です。 無理な摘出により、正常な脳神経を損傷すると手術後に合併症が生じる可能性があります。 従来の脳腫瘍摘出術は外科医の経験と技術によって行われてきましたが、より精度の高い手術を実現するために客観的に再現性のある情報に基づいた手術「情報誘導下手術」を提案してきています。 それを実現する場が「インテリジェント手術室」です。 2．術中MRI. 現在でも多くの脳腫瘍手術は、手術数日前に撮像したMRI画像に基づいて手術計画が立案され、摘出術が施行されています。 しかし脳は、開頭や手術操作によって容易に位置や形状が変化するため、手術前に撮ったMRI画像とはズレが生じます。
