Steam 商店中購買的 DLC 的退款條件如下：購買未達 14 天、所屬產品自 DLC 購買日算起的遊玩時間未達 2 小時，且 DLC 本身未被消耗、修改或轉移。請注意，Steam 有時候無法針對某些第三方 DLC 內容給予退款（比方說如果 DLC 內容會永久且不可逆地提升某角色的等級）。在您購買之前，這些例外會在其商店頁面清楚標示為不可退款。
任何 Valve 製作的遊戲的內部購買內容，均可在購買內容未被消耗、修改或轉移的情況下，於購買後 48 小時內要求退款。第三方開發者將可依其意願提供相同的遊戲內購退款服務。如果開發者願意提供退款服務，Steam 會在購買的時候告知您，否則任何非 Valve 遊戲的內部購買內容均無法透過 Steam 獲得退款。
在 Steam 上於發行日期前購買的遊戲適用 2 小時的遊玩時間退款期限（測試版除外），但 14 天的退款期限會在發行日後才開始計算。例如，若您購買一款搶先體驗或先行體驗版本的遊戲，任何遊玩時間都會計算在 2 小時的退款期限內。若您預購一款無法在發行日期前遊玩的遊戲，您可在發行前的任何時間要求退款，而標準的 14 天 / 2 小時退款期限會自遊戲發行日起開始計算。
Steam 會為某些內容和服務提供定期（例如每月一次、每年一次）使用，您需要為此持續付費。如果在目前的付費周期內並未使用一項可續約的訂閱項目，您可以在初次購買或任何自動續約發生的 48 小時內申請退款。如果在目前的付費周期內已經玩過訂閱內的任何遊戲，或已經使用、消耗、修改或轉移任何包含在訂閱內的福利或折扣，則訂閱內容都會被認定為已使用。 請注意，您可以經由您的帳戶詳細資料隨時取消使用中的訂閱。一旦取消，您的訂閱將不再自動續約，但在目前的付費周期結束前，您仍享有訂閱中的內容和福利。
