After several decades, Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital, located in Kawada-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, is now an advanced state-of-arts hospital with 1,423 beds (as of September 2004). The hospital has a dedicated staff of 6,358, comprising 1,775 doctors, 1,684 nurses, 735 medical technicians, and 2,164 logistics personnel.
Overview. At the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tokyo Women's Medical University, three hospitals, Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital, Adachi Medical Center, and Yachiyo Medical Center, are working as a team to provide medical treatment, research, and education.
Overview. The Department of Surgical Pathology contributes to medical care by being in charge of final diagnosis of diseases through histopathological and cytological procedures. ① Histopathological diagnosis: Biopsy tissue diagnosis, tissue diagnosis of surgical specimens, and rapid diagnosis for specimens taken during surgery are performed.
施設概要. 平成4年3月3日に新宿のNSビル内に、湯液（漢方）部門と鍼灸部門より構成された東京女子医科大学附属東洋医学研究所が開設され、開設時より教授、平成7年より所長を務めた故・代田文彦先生（平成15年1月23日逝去）をはじめ、諸先生方の指導のもとで発展を遂げてきました。 その後、平成19年12月3日より田端駅前に移転し、湯液部門は東京女子医科大学東洋医学研究所クリニック、鍼灸部門は東京女子医科大学東洋医学研究所鍼灸臨床施設と名称を変更致しました。 さらに令和元年7月1日より新宿区河田町の東京女子医科大学病院の隣接地へ移転し、現在に至ります。
