3 天前 · Yŏm Che-sin (1304–1382) was the main political opponent of the monk, Sin Ton, who was in power. When King Gongmin ascended to the throne, Goryeo was under the influence of the Mongol Yuan China. He was forced to spend many years at the Yuan court, being sent there in 1341 as a virtual prisoner before becoming king.
