Lisang Pacidal Koyouan, better known by her stage name A-Lin ( Chinese: 黃麗玲; pinyin: Huáng Lìlíng ), is a Taiwanese singer and songwriter of Amis descent. She made her debut in February 2006 under Avex Taiwan with the studio album Lovelorn, Not Guilty.
She was born in Shaoyang, Hunan, China, in 1956. She studied history in Hunan Normal University from 1979 to 1983. In 1988 she received a master's degree in economics from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. She worked in universities in Hunan and Guangdong for several years.
