概要. 私どもの診療のポリシーは「患者さんを中心に考える」ということです。 腎臓病は短期決戦ではなく、長期に病気と戦う患者さんと寄り添っていくことになります。 病気だけをみて診療することなく、患者さんの気持ちや社会生活なども尊重して治療することをモットーとしています。 第四内科は、1973年 (昭和48年)1月に初代主任教授である杉野信博先生が、東京女子医科大学総合内科教授として着任し、腎臓内科の診療・研究にあたられたことに始まります。 1979年 (昭和54年)4月に、腎臓病総合医療センターが設立され、腎臓内科が診療科としてスタートしました。 1983年 (昭和58年)7月には、第四内科学講座が開講し、杉野信博教授が初代主任教授に就任されました。
