最先端をひた走る｢遺伝子医療センター｣. 東京女子医科大学は2004年、全国の医療機関に先駆けて「遺伝子医療センター」を開設した。 遺伝性疾患には難病が多く、受診患者さんやそのご家族の精神的負担は計り知れない。 そこで女子医大では、医療と心理の両面からサポートする遺伝カウンセリング体制を構築。 一人ひとりの体と心に寄り添った“オーダーメイド医療”を推進している。 遺伝子検査を受けたことにより家族の絆が深まった！ 遺伝性疾患で難病の一つとされる病気に、ハンチントン病がある。 この病気は大脳の神経細胞が変性し、意志に反して体が動く舞踏運動や認知症などの症状が現れ、40歳前後に発症することが多いとされる。
心筋梗塞とその予防について. 2013.06.01. 循環器内科 医師 藤田 悦子. 早いもので、もう梅雨ですね。 このところ、予約外の外来では風邪の患者さんが増えた印象もあります。 季節の変わり目には体調を崩しやすいものです。 規則正しい生活を心がけ、疲れた時には無理をせずに、早めによく休むように致しましょう。 さて、先日、女優の天海佑希さんが急性心筋梗塞で入院され、話題になりました。 まだ若い、天海さんくらいのご年齢の女性が、心筋梗塞になるのは大変珍しいことです。 心筋梗塞や狭心症（冠動脈疾患）は動脈硬化と関連しており、年齢が高くなるほど発症しやすくなります。 心筋梗塞は、動脈硬化や血管壁の筋肉の痙攣のために、心臓に血液を送る血管（冠動脈）が詰まり、心臓の筋肉が壊死する病気です。
