2022年12月15日 · Overwolf has called it the CurseForge App. I don't think any of them actually called it a "Launcher" (just "App") since they all have pulled up the vanilla launcher to actually launch the game. IIRC this is how Mojang has asked modded launchers to handle it (keep all account log-in stuff in Mojang's launcher/code).
2021年1月5日 · It's not a virus, but the Overwolf Browser takes up resources and it's a waste, so it's bloatware. Click the up arrow in the Taskbar and right-click the wolf logo, then click close at the bottom. As someone who teaches courses on Malware, I would comfortably categorize this as a Malware.
2022年7月6日 · I see lots of people on this subreddit accusing Overwolf of being bloatware or spyware. But I personally can't find any actual evidence of this. If you have a look at what others claim, you'll see that none of them ever give actual proof of their claims. I have never had any issues with Overwolf hogging system resources.
2022年12月10日 · I could not turn it off in Overwolf settings. I went to Settings > Capture > Audio tab and turned off both "System Sound" and "Microphone". However, I can still see that Overwolf OBS helper is using the Mic when I play League of legends. Thanks! Same in minecraft.
2018年11月25日 · Check your Overwolf settings and turn off video recording, my bet is 20% is what your GPU needs to record your replays. for me when im playing insurgency sandstorm its on 80% idk what to do about it cos i cant play my games without using the 20% that is left over from it. 3.2K subscribers in the Overwolf community.
