Steven Chandler Okert (born July 9, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Houston Astros organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants, Miami Marlins, and Minnesota Twins. The Giants selected Okert in the fourth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft.
Lefties batted .239 (17-for-71) against with eight walks and 27 strikeouts...In his season debut April 9 at San Francisco, faced four batters and struck out all of them in order. Went 3-1 with a 2.75 ERA for Miami in 2021. Worked 36.0 innings and struck out 40 batters.
