Mile markers are posted at every mile, and kilometer signs are posted every 5 kilometers. All course clocks are set to correspond to wave 1. Timing mats are located at the start, every 5K, halfway (13.1 miles), mile 20, and the finish.

9+1 Program. NYRR members who, in 2023, ran nine qualifying NYRR races and volunteered at one qualifying event, are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon between February 21 - March 21, 2024.
