2020年1月4日 · Hi all, It has been 5 years since I bought my 2008 BMW 328i with 112,000 miles on it. 2019 was a very quiet year for the car, the only repair was my coolant expansion take cracking which left the car immobile. Thankfully I was able to drive it back to my place a few miles away before the coolant started boiling and all that drama.
As far as BMW reliability goes, yes they are. However keep in mind they are not your typical commuter cars and will cost more to repair and maintain than say your average Honda/Toyota. Parts will typically be more expensive as well. I recommend at least an 09 or newer for the 328i.
I didn't incorporate Depreciation. So, I wanted to provide an update on the cost of owning my BMW 328i. Here is the background on the car & the data collection methods: I purchased a 2007 328i on 08/13/2010 for $21000 with a downpayment of $5000 at 42000 miles.
Not reliable at all. I’ve had my 2011 328i xDrive since 2013. I believe I have the n51 motor. Worst thing to happen was the PCV heater catching fire and melting everything. Bmw eventually issued a recall. Problems that I’ve encountered and repaired: Valve cover gasket. Happens to all bmws. Oil pan gasket.
2022年7月5日 · As someone who owns a 2011 BMW 328i, I would advise against it. They are not cheap to run or maintain. 91 gas, they love to leak oil and any that's 5+ years old is likely to have some sort of electrical issue. If you absolutely must buy one, go for an E9x or older. Preferably E46.
2021年11月11日 · It has a 00578E code which means the transmission fluid is worn out. At around 120k miles I changed the transmission fluid 3 times. 2 drain and fills, and then a 3rd time when I dropped the oil pan, changed the filter, cleaned the pan and magnet, and then reinstalled with a fresh gasket. I used Amsoil full synthetic ATF, I called both Amsoil ...
2018年11月9日 · There’s a sticky. They aren’t problem-ridden; these cars are just robust and complicated due to their modernization. Lots of power from a 3L in-line twin turbo. Harmonic balancer replacement was $1000+ with labor, the carbon build-up clean is at least $1000 for a diesel.
2022年8月31日 · PurfuitOfHappineff. • 2 yr. ago. That’s a lot of miles so definitely get a pre-purchase inspection; often a bmw dealer will do it for a few hundred bucks. If it clears, the price isn’t bad in the sense that you’ll put another $5k+ into it anyway, and $15k is fine for that car as a convertible.
2014年12月19日 · Luckily, my aftermarket warranty covered the $6700 repair. Could be a bent wheel, I've got a bent wheel (not too bad that it can't be driven) but it causes this issue to a lesser degree. So I recently purchased a 2011 328i x drive (my first car) and im getting a very low frequency "rumble" and vibration from 45-60mph. Its not a….
2022年3月15日 · Bring it to a mechanic and get a PPI. It’s a 328i so maintenance/issues shouldn’t be too bad. Send it. I know the question is about an 07 but I have a 06 328i coupe. I paid $3200. I needed to replace 2 VVTs I believe they are called. Cost around $500 something. My passenger door doesn’t open. Paid $400 to fix it.
