2022年3月29日 · Re: Update produces "503 use AUTH first". The problem is that it isn't an update at all. FileZilla Server 1.x is a new FTP server rewritten from scratch (based on libfilezilla). For that reason, old features are apparently removed, when in reality, they are simply not included in the rewrite.

FileZilla Server 1.x isn't a simple update from 0.9.x, but a completely new software, rewritten from scratch. So, it is essentially a change to a different Server software, with settings migration.

2024年3月12日 · The install & configuration of FZ Server vers 1.81 on an updated W11 machine went smoothly. I'm still learning about Tailscale - but it made connecting dead easy. On my previous machine I was using an old version of Cerberus FTP Server & when I login with FZ client I see all the drives listed below the virtual path "/" because I added each drive under the "Directories" config for my username.
2015年5月1日 · The message stating that the server does not support FTP over TLS is purely informational, FileZilla does fall back to plain FTP in this case. The server rejects your login data altogether. That usually means that either username and/or password are wrong, or the server experiences problems regarding your FTP account.

The distinguished name (DN) provides details about the certificate subject, such as name and company details. It's a comma-separated list of relative distinguished names (RDN).
The server replies: Yes. Then, FileZilla actually attempts to use FTP over TLS and the server craps out, because it is not properly configured despite saying so. Solution: The server should either properly support FTP over TLS, or tell FileZilla that it doesn't support it (by denying the AUTH command).
2020年8月22日 · I'd like to allow access to server only from specific IP addresses, say 1.1.1.1, and 2.2.2.2 and block from all other IP addresses. So in IP Filter window I enter: in upper field "not allowed": 0.0.0.0/0
There's an uninstall item in the FileZilla Client directory in your start menu. Alternatively you can start the uninstallation using Windows' Add/Remove Programs dialog.
