2024年7月14日 · 西北大學 （英語： Northwestern University ，簡稱： NU ）是 美國 的一所著名私立研究型大學。 它由九人於1851年創立，目標是建立一所為 西北領地 地區的人服務的大學。 1853年，創始人們在芝加哥以北12英里的 密西根湖 畔購買了一塊379公頃的土地作為校園 [5] 。 該校的 埃文斯頓市 和 芝加哥 兩個校區都位於 密西根湖 泊畔。 西北大學是 全國大學體育協會 十大聯盟 高校的創會成員，也是該聯盟中第一所私立大學。 大學在《 美國新聞與世界報導 》《 泰晤士報高等教育 》《 世界大學學術排名 》等主要教育刊物常年評為全美前十名、世界前三十名，是美國歷史悠久的知名學府 [6] 。
