2024年9月27日 · The air cargo market showed signs of cooling slightly in September but expectations are that demand will quickly pick up again in October. Freight forwarder Dimerco said that e-commerce and electronics volumes had “underperformed expectations in September”.
Figures from data provider Xeneta show that air cargo demand increased by 9% year on year in December – although this is partly a reflection of a weak end to 2022 – while spot rates reached their highest level in nine months of $2.60 per kg and the dynamic load factor increased by 3% to reach 59%.

Global forwarder association FIATA said the emergency measures will have a significant impact on shippers in the European and CIS regions where they apply, particularly for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with lower volume shipments.
IAG Cargo saw a steep drop in year on year commercial revenues in 2023 against a backdrop of sustained soft air cargo demand in the industry. The cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG) reported commercial revenues of €1.2bn for 2023, 28.4% down compared to 2022.
