FTP (as dedicated File Transfer Protocol) usually provides more performance than SFTP (which is a subset of SSH2 that's designed rather for remote shell than dedicated file transferring). The security of FTPS Explicit and SFTP is comparable.

2008年9月11日 · My server connects fine. The server connection is correct and everything in FileZilla is configured. I have the latest version but I cannot download my files off my server. I right click on the index.html file that I want to edit and "Download" is grayed out. I try to drag the file onto my desktop: it doesn't work.
Hi, I have checked all setting in the server side. all rights been given to this user account. able to upload but can't download. not sure if that is the problem. but we are currently using another ftp also and upload/download has no issue. only this program is having this weird problem that can't download file.
