The lane assist and collision avoidance alert are both great features and can really save the day. when I drive my wife’s XLT Everest that doesn’t have the collision avoidance I need to remind myself to pay more attention especially on the freeway. You get used to the extra help.

Re: 12 pin trailer plug. 12 pin would be fine for your purpose - don't use it to charge the batteries in the van though if it has them, it has the pins for it but you generally can't fit bigger than 6mm wire in them which is too small. From your brake controller you want to be using 6mm twin core to the trailer plug.

I have fitted a bigger tyre size than standard (265/70R16) and get 11.5km/l at 120km/h, and when towing a fully loaded Conqueror I get 8Km/l. Andre.

  6. Re: Everest 3.2 Reliability. I had two 3.2 Rangers, both manual. I put ~220k on the first one (2015) in three and a half years. I had to replace an exhaust temperature sensor just under 200k and the air con compressor at about 215k. Other than that, it never faltered. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Either build a reliable car and pickup long term repeat sales..or watch it evaporate. It’s already better than hilux but reliability in mining fleets will be the core thing.

Issue: When driving at a constant low rpm (1000-2000) on an incline (most noticeable) the van will surge around 200-300rpm. The surge is not just on the cluster the engine actually increases rpm and the vehicle shudders/jerks.

  10. Casper. FF.Com.Au Hardcore. Join Date: Dec 2004. Posts: 12,083. means the car thinks it needs a service. Std thing every 10,000kms. Turn the car off, press in the odo reset button and hold. Then turn the keys to accessories and continue to hold the reset button in till the spanner goes away.
