In Xcode 7.2 (and earlier but I haven't tested how much earlier), you can set a platform specific build flag "-D TARGET_IPHONE_SIMULATOR" for "Any iOS Simulator". Look in the project build settings under "Swift Compiler - Customer Flags" and then set the flag in "Other Swift Flags".
How/can I access the host machine's network (http in this case) from the iPhone simulator? I'm developing the web service alongside the app, so it would be helpful to have them both on the host machine, and then I can commit changes as needed.

2011年2月26日 · Make sure your command line settings are set to Xcode 6. xcrun simctl. In Xcode 6, each device has a GUID/UUID associated to it, to reset a specific device, you need the GUID for it. 2008年11月20日 · It appears there's a bug in Silent Mode for the iPhone simulator. To work around this, I turned Silent Mode on and then off again: In Simulator menu, turn on Window > Show Device Bezels. The bezel shows hardware buttons. Find the silent mode switch, and click it twice. Hide the bezels again, if preferred.
