2024年2月6日 · Lancaster is a great uni. It stays around 10th/11th in the complete uni guide, and the reason its not higher is because their grade bounderies are lower. But their student satisfaction is higher than others. Its also got good research quality. Its not a russell group, but does hold its own in terms of research.

Some colleges only offer certain types of accommodation, for example, Lonsdale and Cartmel are exclusively ensuite. So whichever accommodation you would prefer/is within your budgeting range will limit your choices.

Cheap cost of living. You can do a lot more with your money. Cons: Not particularly well connected - its a hassle to go to another larger town for a day trip or night out. Limited local economy. If you like your university town and want to stay after graduation that could be a disappointment.
