2020年10月6日 · Overwolf Buff - is it legitimate? Apparently there's a service called Buff that promises the following: it's a "loyalty program that rewards gamers simply for playing." According to the site, the premise is that you run Buff while playing supported games, and Valorant happens to be one of them. By doing so, you earn stuff.
2024年1月29日 · Overwolf is an app development platform, it's an engine that can run some sort of "enhanced web apps" and integrate them into games. By itself it's completely harmless, and thus not bannable. It's the content, the apps, that matter, and DotaPlus does nothing to give you any sort of unfair advantage, not before, during or after the draft, so it shouldn't be bannable.

2021年1月5日 · It's not a virus, but the Overwolf Browser takes up resources and it's a waste, so it's bloatware. Click the up arrow in the Taskbar and right-click the wolf logo, then click close at the bottom. As someone who teaches courses on Malware, I would comfortably categorize this as a Malware.
2022年12月10日 · I could not turn it off in Overwolf settings. I went to Settings > Capture > Audio tab and turned off both "System Sound" and "Microphone". However, I can still see that Overwolf OBS helper is using the Mic when I play League of legends. Thanks! Same in minecraft.
2022年7月6日 · I see lots of people on this subreddit accusing Overwolf of being bloatware or spyware. But I personally can't find any actual evidence of this. If you have a look at what others claim, you'll see that none of them ever give actual proof of their claims. I have never had any issues with Overwolf hogging system resources.
