藥理作用. 可作用於鼻腔，使血管收縮，減輕充血及發炎物質溢出引起之腫脹，緩解鼻塞或鼻炎。 而用於眼睛則可散瞳，使虹膜放大、放大瞳孔及麻痺睫狀肌，於檢查眼底前使用。 用法與用量. *成人. 1. 血管收縮劑. -延長脊髓麻醉：加2-5mg至麻醉溶液中。 -局部麻醉：1 mg於1：20,000 (重量)溶液中。 2. 昇壓劑. -輕度 / 中等度低血壓：肌注或皮下注射2-5 mg，10-15分以上可重複。靜注0.2mg, 10-15以上可重複。 -陣發性上心室性心搏過速：靜注，起始0.5mg，注射時間20∼30秒，其後每劑增量勿超過0.1-0.2 mg，最高每劑1 mg。
