2013年1月13日 · Just demonstrated Autodesk Viewer today to one of our non-CAD/non-design users to open an STP file and do section views. It is also very good for quickly exploding assemblies. All you need is an Autodesk Account to sign into it: https://viewer.autodesk.com. This may help anybody looking through the same topic.
2007年4月19日 · fully dimensioning the fab drawing since the vendor is going from the .stp. file. We need a way for a non-Inventor user to get dimensions from the .stp file. and for the user to also be able to mark up the .stp file. I have checked. out a .stp viewer by Delcam but it doesn't allow measuring and markup. Does.
2010年12月2日 · STP is not an Autodesk created file format and they don't make viewers for everything they support or touch for free, you'll have to purchase a program from them for that ability. Not sure why you would assume everyone should make free software to view everything. I'd rather they spend their time and effort working on their software instead.

They tried the INVENTOR VIEW but it doesnt give the possibility to HIDE/UNHIDE parts and groups. Of course the PC where they have to see such files dont have an autodesk license. thanks in advance for your prompt feedback,

Yeah, please import the step file and save as assembly or make multi-body part to an assembly, create a new ipn file for the assembly file and make any explode view in the presentation environment as you want. 2014年1月31日 · If the import failed, it means the STP is a format too high for AutoCAD. There is no such thing as a STP format "too high" for AutoCAD. Zip and attach the *.stp file here. You will get a notification in the lower right corner of the screen when the import is completed and ready to open.
