2月6日にトルコ南部で発生した地震被害に対し、外務省は国際緊急援助隊・医療チーム（以下、JDR）の派遣を決定しました。 私は一次隊として2月14日羽田空港を出発し翌15日午後より活動を開始しました。 JDRはWHO現地調整本部よりガジアンテップ県オーゼリ市で被災して病院避難を余儀なくされたオーゼリ国立病院の機能を補完する活動を指示され、手術・病棟機能を持つfield hospitalを展開し1日約100人の外来診療を行いました。 受付風景（右が岩﨑） 近年、緊急医療チーム（EMT：Emergency Medical Team）に対するWHOの国際認証制度が開始され、JDRは、24時間手術に対応可能なType 2として、世界で3番目に認証を受けています。
