2018年5月16日 · Amaryl (Glimepiride) can cause hypos so you are right to be concerned. I do not take a sulfonylurea so will leave arvice to those who do. Having said that, I think it wise to test your blood glucose more, perhaps eat some carbs and take water. Best wishes.
2010年5月17日 · Hi there, you're a lucky bunny to be prescribed glimepiride. Its the Third Generation of Sulfonylurea drugs. It causes fewer hypos than the first ( tolubamide) and the second ( gliclazide) generation sulfs AND it helps combat Insulin Resistance ( your main problem). But its expensive and so hard to get for T2s.
2015年9月15日 · Gliclazide is the more commonly prescribed of the two I believe. I'm not sure why, but Google the web and it will almost certainly compare the two. Either of these drugs are not a problem, but if the dose is too high and you still have some pancreatic function they can cause hypos so check you blood sugar.
