The House of Habsburg (/ ˈ h æ p s b ɜːr ɡ /, German: Haus Habsburg, pronounced [haʊ s ˈhaːpsˌbʊʁk] ), also known as the House of Austria, is one of the most prominent and important dynasties in European history.
