HOME. 専門治療紹介. 脊髄脊椎外科. 脳神経外科は脳外科と呼ばれ一般には脳のみを専門に扱う診療科のように思われがちですが、脊髄、末梢神経を含めた神経全般を扱っています。 英語ではNeurosurgeryすなわち神経外科といわれ、脊椎脊髄外科は欧米の脳神経外科手術の多くを占めている領域です。 ですから近年日本でも、脊髄および脊椎を扱う脳神経外科医が増えてきています。 当院では以前から脊髄腫瘍、頚椎椎間板ヘルニア、脳性まひの尖足の治療、後縦靭帯骨化症、腰椎椎間板ヘルニア、腰部脊柱管狭窄症、腰椎すべり症、キアリ奇形、脊髄血管障害、脊髄空洞症、胸郭出口症候群など多くの脊椎脊髄末梢神経疾患を扱ってきました。
