大学史料室は、本学の創設者である吉岡彌生・荒太夫妻の事績を始め、教員や卒業生など、本学に関する歴史資料を収集、調査研究するため、1966（昭和 41）年に中央校舎2階に開設されました。1970（昭和45）年には吉岡彌生記念室を併設して収集した資料の一部の展示公開を開始。
