Hey yall, I’m wondering how much sanding needs to be done in between the fill coat and the flood coat of this epoxy pour. First two sides are 48 hours after first fill coat. Second two slides are after spending about 2 hours sanding a piece down with 220 orbital.

5 天前 · Bonding epoxy requires a 0.005 inch gap (on the radius). Carbon/epoxy hoop wraps around the bb shell total about 0.045 inches thick. My jig had a 1.500 diameter mandrel to represent the bb shell. I wrapped a 0.005 inch sheet of plastic over the mandrel to represent the 0.005 inch glue gap.
